Along with the high-speed defragmentation features in Diskeeper 10 Professional Edition, Professional Premier Edition adds the proprietary Intelligent File Access Acceleration Sequencing Technology (I-FAAST™). I-FAAST is a technology breakthrough that allows Diskeeper to intelligently organize your most important files, increasing their performance even more than defragmentation alone—and it`s totally automatic. I-FAAST is the first totally adaptive file sequencing technology. It starts by benchmarking each volume, no matter what architecture (IDE, SATA, SCSI, RAID, etc…) , to discover it’s unique performance characteristics. It then watches files access to determine which files are accessed most frequently. During its specialized defragmentation process, it sequences the files to give you a burst of speed, up to 80%, for the files you access most. Gamers, Multimedia gurus, and Power Users of the world; rejoice!
