Island Codeworks Backup 2.1 Professional is easy-to-use FTP-based backup program for all versions of Windows. Instead of backing up to tape or CDROM, it uses available disk space on FTP servers, making it possible to backup your computer anywhere there is an Internet connection. Unlike other "on-line" backup programs that require you to use their backup servers, Island Codeworks Backup allows you to use your own, making this an ideal backup solution for your enterprise. You can backup and have access to your backups when you`re the office, at home or on the road. Island Codeworks Backup supports 128 bit encryption, data compression (DeltaBIT and LZSS), email notifications, service-based scheduling, backing up to multiple FTP servers for additional security and automatically reconnecting to the backup server on network interruption making reliable network backups a reality. New features in version 2.1 1. Speed. Great improvements in backup and restore speed have been introduced in Backup Pro 2.1 2. Size. Island Codeworks Backup uses DeltaBIT technology for backing up many types of files. Rather than backing up entire files, after the initial backup, only changes to files are backed up. This results in a dramatic reduction in the amount of storage space used on your backup servers and the amount of time it takes to backup large files. 3. Security. Your backups are more secure because Island Codeworks backup now uses a 128 bit encryption compliments of the Microsoft crypto API. 4. Ease of use. Version 2.1 sports a host of interface improvements including a. The ability to backup network drives and directories. b. The ability to restore files modified on or before a given date. c.
