The key solution is Super X Desktop. Being a easy-to-use program, it can default run 10 and up to 100 virtual desktops on your computer. What you need to do, just only using Ctrl + number keys to switch them. You can use Super X Desktop to manage multiple virtual desktop. It means you can set caption, wallpaper for each desktop, and applications can run on different desktops as you like.
