Take a trip into outer space as you watch a space probe fly by an asteroid in this memorable 3D screensaver. This screensaver is a salute to the NASA, USSR, Japan, and European space projects, from 1989 to the present, which have greatly added to our understanding of the cosmos. Spacecraft and probes launched during this period investigated the following asteroids and comets: 9969 Braille, 3840 Mimistrobell, 433 Eros, 2530 Shipka, Gaspra, Ida, 253 Mathilde, comet Borrelly, comet Giacobini-Zinner, comet Grigg-Skjellerup, comet Halley, comet Hyakutake, comet P/Wild 2, and comet Wirtanen.
