CorMac Technologies Inc. announces the release of CQPhone 1.0, a computer program that enables free worldwide communication using the Internet instead of regular telephone lines. CQPhone is similar to the popular `Instant Messenger` programs, but it is unique in many ways. This program looks and sounds like a real telephone. You simply dial a number, wait for someone to answer, and begin talking. You have the choice to simultaneously communicate by typing on your keyboard or starting your web cam for live video chat. Digital pictures and web sites may be shared during the call. CQPhone is extremely simple to install and use. Picture sharing is especially popular, now that many families have purchased a digital camera. Some voice programs are like a child`s walky-talky; with poor tone, missed words and push-to-talk operation. CQPhone provides outstanding two-way voice clarity. CorMac has optimized the voice engine to provide minimal lag time; even for people who use old computers and slow dialup modems. Users are amazed when they discover the voice quality is much better than a traditional telephone. Every computer that installs CQPhone receives a unique, private phone number. These phone numbers are never made public. You decide who to give your number to. If you wish to meet new friends from around the world, you can open the Random Chat List and call someone who also has this same list open. Your CQPhone number will remain private when you meet people this way. CQPhone may be downloaded for free at http://cqphone.com The program runs on any computer that uses Microsoft Windows. An internet connection, speakers and microphone (or headset) are required.
