Eve is the first real-time network monitor capable of rendering 3D visualizations of network traffic. Eve examines data flowing on the local area network it is installed on and renders the data in a 3D environment. The developers felt that while many aspects of network management and planning have grown and improved over the years, the ability to really get a `feel` for normal network traffic did not exist. Eve allows network admins to visually learn what to expect on their network, and to spot what is abnormal. The human mind is finely tuned to detecting patterns from visual data, Eve plays on that fact - allowing you to get to grips with networking.
