But are you getting everything your new keyboard has to offer? There are various models of multimedia keyboards, each having its unique keys and features. Unfortunately, these keyboards often require installation of proprietary software in order to make use of all the extra keys and features. Bundled software varies in quality and bulkiness, and usually covers just the basics. Keyboard Maniac adds another dimension to the ability to control applications on your computer using convenient keyboard shortcuts and extra keys. Put your music at your fingertips by controlling your favorite music player with your keyboard`s dedicated multimedia keys. Make your movie freeze when you hit the `Pause` button on your keyboard. Insert and format a complex table into a spreadsheet with a single key press. Save time by automating complex tasks with pre-recorded keyboard macros. Inserting and formatting a table in Microsoft Excel requires a different set of actions than the one in OpenOffice. Keyboard Maniac allows the same keys to act differently in different applications, allowing you to assign a single easy to remember key to do similar actions in completely different applications. You can also use mouse clicks as part of your keyboard shortcuts and macros. There are many multimedia devices on the market, including joysticks, remote controls, and overs.
