MailScan 4 for CommuniGate-Pro is the world`s first out-of-the-box, e-mail virus and content scanner for the CommuniGate Pro Mail Server. This server is published by Stalker Software Inc.MailScan 4 for CommuniGate Pro (MSCGP) acts as a Content-Security and Anti-Virus Software between your Corporate CommuniGate Pro Mail Server and the Internet. MSCGP works on CG-Pro versions 3.4 and above.MailScan for CommuniGate Pro integrates with the inbuilt Content-Filtering system offered by CommuniGate Pro software. After installation, it makes the required setting changes in CG Pro system. Hence MailScan truly functions as an out-of-the-box product. Anti-Virus and Content-Checking are only a few of the benefits offered by MailScan. It also has a Generic Attachment Analyzer, automatic compression/decompression feature, a comprehensive Notification Engine and many features, not available in other products.MailScan uses eScan Content-Security and Anti-Virus to scan all e-mail attachments. Incoming and outgoing e-mails are scanned and cleaned for viruses and their contents checked, before your e-mail server processes them.All MailScan processes are multi-threaded. This ensures that all e-mails are parallely processed. All types of attachments are handled by MailScan, including MIME and UUEncoded. Other types supported are: RFC822 attachments, embedded e-mails, Multipart-Mixed and Multipart-Digest types. USPs offered by MailScan are: 1.No port settings or changes need to be done inside CommuniGate Pro. / 2.Dedicated gateway not required for using MailScan. MailScan works along with CG Pro on the same machine. / 3. Unlike other products, you will *NOT* lose any of the SMTP functionalities by using CommuniGate Pro. / 4.It gives exceptional performance. / 5. It is completely multi-threaded.
