RSS stands for `Really Simple Syndication` a common XML standard that allows receiving free news sources such as headlines, breaking news, finance data, weather information or blogs on demand over the Internet. RSScrawler displays your favorite RSS news feeds as a flicker-free ticker bar on your Windows Desktop. RSScrawler keeps you always informed in the same way as those ticker bars known from various TV stations. Never miss any breaking news! You can choose from a huge number of RSS feeds that are available for free, including top news sources such as New York Times, Yahoo and many others. RSScrawler supports all RSS formats (including RSS 1.x, RSS 2.x, RDF, Atom and even Poscasts). You can add any RSS feed you want. RSScrawler already comes with a small choice of selected RSS feeds for you. RSScrawler can display multiple news feeds on different ticker bars at different size and speed. Also the look and feel of the ticker bars (font, size, color) is fully customizable. The ticker bars can either be placed at the top or at the bottom of your Windows desktop. The ticker bars can either be displayed on demand (e.g. if a news items are available in a subscribed feed) or can be permanently visible. Because a certain area of the desktop is reserved by the ticker bar, it cannot be hidden or overlapped by other windows. This allows you to keep an eye on the news ticker when working with other applications. Furthermore, RSScrawler can also be used on public displays like TFT or plasma screen in show cases, public places, fair booths or hotel lobbies, to display any information you want. But also as a corporate new sticker RSScrawler is perfectly suited. Keep your employees in call center, helpdesks or at their work place always best information about your company. RSScrawler offers a huge set of customizing options to make it fit perfectly to your individual demands.
