Using over a dozen government and industry-proven shredding methods, Shred XP returns control to you by securely deleting current files, previously `deleted` files, the recycle bin, drive free space, file tips, names, dates, sizes, and starting sectors as well as securely removing Internet trails including Internet Explorer`s history, cache and typed URLs. Additionally, Shred XP securely removes system trails including Recent Documents List and temp directories. Also, Shred XP provides a `tree` of choices so you can remove the trails left by other installed programs such as Windows Media Player, MusicMatch, Forte Agent Newsreader, ICQ, AOL Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and more as well as customizing it yourself loading and saving trees on demand. With the shredding methods including single (fast), triple, DOD-5200.28, Gutmann (18, 23, 26 and 35), U.S. Army AR380-19, U.S. Navy NAVSO P-5239-26 (RLL, MFM), German VSItR and Russian GOST P50739-95, Shred XP returns control to you.
