Copy Sndmail.dll to the directory containing the standard SQL Server DLL files (C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMssqlBinn by default). use master go sp_addextendedproc `xp_sndmail`, `sndmail.dll` go Example. declare @error int exec @error=master..xp_sndmail `192.168.1.1`, -- IP-address of SMTP-server varchar(15) `192.168.1.10`, -- IP-address of local PC varchar(15) `bob@company.com`, -- e-mail “to” varchar(50) `sql@company.com`, -- e-mail “from” varchar(50) `Alarm`, -- subject varchar(100) `Message` -- message body varchar(8000) select @error Variable @error will contain an error code, 0 – completed successfully.
