TrueUpdate provides a comprehensive solution for software developers and IT managers wanting to integrate automatic patch detection and delivery into their software applications and business processes. Using a combination of custom software identification parameters and a robust client/server framework, TrueUpdate can quickly determine if an application is out-of-date. Once a required patch has been identified, the TrueUpdate client can automatically retrieve and apply it using standard Internet and/or LAN protocols. An easy-to-use Project Wizard walks you through the whole process, helping you identify your file versions, configure patch download locations, build your customized TrueUpdate client and upload the information to your server. By using open and trusted protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS and FTP, organizations of any size can deploy TrueUpdate enabled software without the need for specialized and costly hardware and software platforms. The new scripting engine features everything from `for, repeat and while` loops, to `if/else` conditions, functions, variables and associative arrays. Included is a library of over 250 high-level functions and a step-by-step Action Wizard to help you along. With it you can do anything from making registry changes and calling DLL functions to executing programs, starting and stopping services, interacting with web scripts and other advanced tasks. TrueUpdate 2.0 is easy to integrate into your applications and offers nearly unlimited flexibility and customization options. It works with any professional installer or patch builder, including Setup Factory, Visual Patch, InstallShield and Wise. It even works with zip archives and individual data files. Features include automatic firewall and proxy server negotiation, silent updating, support for action plugins, multilingual projects, a compact and standalone client, themes/skins, a screen gallery, syntax-highlighting and much more.
