For organizations that need to leverage the internet to share information between sites and partners, the VShell Secure Shell server is a strong, secure alternative to Telnet and FTP. VShell lets you replace nonsecure Telnet and FTP servers with one highly secure server so you can continue to allow remote access to your Windows or UNIX systems. VShell’s port forwarding lets you encrypt existing in-house TCP/IP solutions and ensure that only authorized personnel see data and have access to these systems. VShell provides the secure authentication, strong encryption, and data integrity of SSH2 throughout your organization. Precision control over privileges, the ability to fine-tune your Secure Shell environment, and a wide selection of strong authentication methods give you a flexible solution that grows with your evolving security policies. Extend your network to securely include remote offices, mobile employees, partners, and customers. Access Control Lists allow you to assign the right mix of shell access, file transfer, and application data tunneling to users and groups. Centralized server configuration, end user public-key upload, and triggers for automation of routine tasks reduce hassles for busy system administrators. Integrate this strong security with your existing infrastructure to support enterprise-wide authentication that goes beyond weak password authentication. VShell includes built-in support for Kerberos v5 via GSSAPI, keyboard interactive, and public-key authentication.
