Keeping track of files and protecting them from loss or damage is a never ending chore for any active PC user. Here is a simple utility that will take some of the insecurity and the tedium out of finding, deleting and copying over duplicate or version files. With Comparator, you won`t need to open two Explorer windows to make painstaking comparisons but you`ll still have the Windows system menu available to you by right-clicking a file. Here, too, is an alternative to the Microsoft® Briefcase -- install this program everywhere you go to keep shared files in sync. Finally, don`t neglect full backup routines, but do make use of Comparator to quickly update a small backup set before you get down to some serious work. You can also run Comparator in multi-language interface (all menus, dialog texts and messages). Or create your own language by editing the language file directly.
