A SMARTER WAY TO SHUTDOWN AND RESTART WORKSTATIONS Shutdown Vaccine® is a powerful utility that automates the shut down, log off reboot and many Windows functions. It acts as a traffic cop allowing certain tasks to functions at predefined times. Furthermore, Its built-in Power-Smart technology can shut down your computer if it is inactive for a specified period of time (idle-time). Shutdown Vaccine also allows you to perform remote shutdowns for Networked PC`s. Furthermore, Shutdown Vaccine supports command-line operations, as well as creation of batch files for any selected action. DESIGNED FOR COMPUTER LABS AND PUBLIC ACCESS PC`S Shutdown Vaccine can automate most PC power related tasks. ie. perform a nightly shutdown of computers in a computer lab. Rather than having to go to each computer individually, you can configure Shutdown Vaccine to turn off each workstation at a particular time or date. Saving computer administrators from having to perform the same manual tasks. POWER SAVINGS By incorporating smart shutdown policies - Schools, businesses and libraries reduce their computer electricity usage by over 30 per cent.... A typical desktop PC uses about 65 watts. Add another 80 watts for a 17` CRT monitor (35 watts for an LCD). To put this into perspective, a light bulb uses about 75 watts. So a typical computer uses about 1.5 to 2 light bulbs` worth of energy.
