The best way to check your web or FTP site is running correctly is to access a web page or file - just like a user would do. The Sentry-go Quick Web Monitor allows just that! With it you can quickly, easily & cost effectively monitor your entire IIS Web Server environment. In addition to the underlying server, other features include HTML content & ASP monitoring, web site & web page availability, FTP site & file availability, internet service (ports) access, and entries written to IIS log file & local Event Logs. If problems are detected, it can either take automatic action, or alert you before end-users are affected. Using its in-built web-based reporting, you also have immediate access to monitored information direct from your web browser. Check key web pages are available via both HTTP and HTTPS, verify the page returned is correct or report any that have been changed. Check that your FTP server accepts and delivers files as you would expect. Monitor TCP/IP ports to ensure your server is correctly listening for inbound requests. Monitor & automatically restart key Windows & IIS related services. Additionally monitor any custom service running on the server. In addition to Event Log monitoring, you can also monitor the primary IIS log file - which can be used to track page & file delivery, as well as HTTP errors returned in response to client requests - highlighting broken links etc. The built-in web server provides instant access to both previous alerts, current monitored values and other reports, allowing you to access the information you need directly from your desktop. Alerts can also be viewed instantly from your desktop via the Quick Monitor Console. You can configure the monitor either locally or centrally using the Sentry-go Quick Monitor Console.
